Chocolate Salami

"This recipe is handed down to me by my Italian mother. I grew up with this dessert. It's quick and easy. The chestnut puree may be hard to find. It's actually called "Torta di Castagne" or Chestnut Cake. It just looks like a salami log. Great for a holiday meal."

  1. In a medium bowl, mix chestnut puree, sugar, cocoa and melted butter until well blended.
  2. Mix in walnuts and almonds.
  3. Shape into a log.
  4. Wrap in foil or wax paper.
  5. Refridgerate overnight.
  6. Slice a thick cut of salami
  7. Great topped with whip cream.
  8. Enjoy!
