  1. Heat the oil in a rounded nonstick skillet (such as a wok). Heat the cumin seeds until slightly browned. Add the ginger and fry for a few seconds. Then add the potatoes and green beans. Sprinkle the turmuric powder and salt over the vegetables and cook until potatoes/green beans are warm to touch but still raw. Lower heat and cover, stirring occasionally until vegetables are soft.
