Original recipe yields 10 servings

  1. Combine all filling ingredients-except raisins-and mix well
  2. Set Aside
  3. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup of the warm milk
  4. Combine the flour, sugar, salt and eggs
  5. Add remainder of the milk, butter and yeast mixture
  6. Beat until elastic
  7. Sprinkle top with a little flour and cover with a cloth
  8. Let stand in a warm place until double in size
  9. Punch down. Divide the dough into 2 pieces.
  10. Put on floured board and roll out into a rectangle
  11. Spread with cooled filling and sprinkle with raisins
  12. Roll like a jelly roll
  13. Place in greased pan and let stand to rise again
  14. Brush top with margarine or butter bake for 45-60 minutes in 350 degree oven.
