  1. In a large pot, saute bacon, onion, celery, thyme, and parsley for about 3 minutes.
  2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and garlic, cook for 2 more minutes.
  3. Add wine and clam nectar.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Add the potatoes, reduce heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir in clams and cook for a few more minutes.
  7. Serve with some nice crusty rolls.
