Pecan Noodle Kugel


"Noodle kugel coated with a brown sugar/pecan mixture hot out of the oven is sweet enough it could also work as a dessert. This is an old family recipe guaranteed to be loved by all!"

  1. 1. Boil noodles in salted water until tender. Wash in colander with cold water. Spread noodles on wax paper until dry.
  2. 2. Beats eggs in large bowl. Add 2 Tablespoons melted butter. Add 1/2 cup brown sugar and pinch of salt. Mix noodles in this mixture and stir well.
  3. 3. Spread bottom of bundt pan or deep casserole baking dish with 2 Tablespoons melted butter. Sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar on bottom and pat onto sides. Spread nuts over brown sugar. Carefully pour noodle mixture over this.
  4. 4. Bake at 325 degree preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven and invert on serving platter so the brown sugar-nut topping is now on top. Slice into wedges like a cake!
