  1. Preheat oven to 325. Spray 8x8 metal pan on bottom only with non-stick coating.
  2. Mix salt and cocoa into flour and set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan melt butter over **low** heat.
  4. When melted add chocolate, stir until smooth, remove from heat, and set aside for 2 or 3 minutes.
  5. In a medium bowl mix by hand the sugar, lightly beaten eggs, and banana for about a minute until combined. Add melted chocolate to the wet ingredients and stir well-another minute or so.
  6. Slowly mix flour mixture into chocolate stirring just enough to combine. Fold in 1/2 cup nuts and chips.
  7. Bake about 40 minutes, but check at 35 minutes. Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Before cutting, cool in pan on wire rack for at least 2 hours...
