Pasta With Shrimp, Oysters, and Crabmeat

"This recipe came from my mother-in-law. Their family tradition was to have fish on Christmas Eve. I carried on that tradition with my own family. If you don't care for oysters, like me, then simply omit that step. The key is use fresh ingredients, not dried. My guests can't get enough of this-well worth the effort. Serve with Garlic bread."

  1. Sauce Directions:
  2. Melt butter and olive oil in saucepan.
  3. Add garlic and saute about 5 minutes.
  4. Add one heaping cup parsley to the garlic mixture in the last minute of cooking.
  5. Season with lemon and spices. Set aside.
  6. Seafood Directions:
  7. Blanch oysters by putting them in boiling water, then turn off heat. Leave for 3 minutes, then drain well.
  8. Melt butter in skillet with olive oil.
  9. Saute shrimp until they turn pink-no more than 3 minutes per side.
  10. Add crabmeat and drained oysters.
  11. Cook pasta in boiling water for 5 minutes, draining well.
  12. Lightly toss sauce and seafood with pasta.
  13. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup parsley.
  14. Serve immediately.
