  1. Heat oil in a heavy soup pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown chicken and sausage in oil.
  3. Add onion, green pepper and red pepper and saute until onion starts to brown around the edges.
  4. Add chicken broth and potato and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until potato is crisp-tender. (Approximately 10 minutes.)
  6. Remove lid and add corn. Simmer until corn is tender. (Approximately 5 minutes)
  7. In a bowl whisk flour and milk together.
  8. Whisk flour and milk mixture into the soup and stir until thick and bubbly.
  9. Remove from heat and add heavy cream. If needed return to heat to warm through. Do not boil again.
  10. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
