  1. Cook, drain and slightly mash the brocolli. Set aside.
  2. In a large soup pot, melt butter and add onion, sautee until the onions are tender and transparent.
  3. Add the condensed and undiluted soups, blend well.
  4. Add milk, reduce heat to medium, and stir until well blended.
  5. Add the cheese, a few cubes at a time, until melted, stirring constantly.
  6. After all the cheese is melted, add the brocolli. Heat until the brocolli is heated through and serve.
  7. This soup freezes well!
