Healthy Natural Multi-Nut Butter Spread

Jalejandrof 1

"This is a healthy and creamy alternative to store bought peanut butter. It is a combination of many diffrent types of nuts so you can mix and match according to your tastes and preferences. I personally like to make it with walnuts, almonds and pistachios. It is also low on sugar, contains a high protein value and good fats. Great for a healthy snack option pre or post workout."

  1. Bake nuts at 350 degrees for about 10 to 15 minutes, this will allow the natural oils to be released naturally and will make it easier to mix when put in the food processor.
  2. Remove from the oven and while still hot put in a food processor and process at high speed until it is broken down and clumps start to form.
  3. When it starts to clump up just turn processor off scrape sides and begin processing again until a cream starts to form. Add vanilla, salt, honey and sugar substitute ( since it all depends on individual preferences you might like to add more honey or sugar substitue for a sweeter taste) and blend for another minute or so.
  4. Optional: Add cocoa powder gradually alternating with the milk and process for another minute or so.
  5. Once done set aside until it cools down completely and put in a jar and refrigerate.
  6. For a chunkier spread just add chopped nuts to mixture.
