Spicy Penne with Chicken and veggies


"I made up the recipe one day when I was over a friends house and her mom made us spicy spagetti with hot peppers but it was way too hot so I made my own and cooled it down a bit. If your sick of plain pasta this adds a kick to it and its really easy to make."

  1. Preheat oven to 350 or start grill for chicken.
  2. In a sauce pan, bring the water to a boil and add penne
  3. Cube the chicken and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet or a dish if grilling
  4. Dab the melted butter on the chicken and lightly sprinkle the seasonings( salt, pepper, garlic, cajun, and chili powder)
  5. Place in the oven or on grill for about 10 minutes for each side or until cooked throughout
  6. Place an 1/8 cup of the vegetable oil to a skillet
  7. Julienne the peppers and cube the squash and add to the skillet
  8. While the vegetables are cooking add your remaining seasonings of salt, pepper, garlic, basil, cajun, and chili powder.
  9. Add the chicken to the vegetables when chicken is done
  10. Drain the penne and add the rest of the vegetable oil and pasta sauce to the penne
  11. Add the penne to the vegetable and chicken
  12. Let the penne absorb some of the flavor
  13. Serve!
