Lemon-Cheese Sauce (For salmon patties, salmon loaf, fish cakes, etc.)

"I serve this sauce with my salmon patties and its a hit every time. There are similar recipes for salmon patties, cakes, and loaves. Try it with one of these. It really finishes off the cakes. It's great!"

  1. In saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk and stir over low heat till thickened. Stir in a monderate amount of hot mixture into the egg yolks. Place in hot mixture and stir well. Add the cheese and lemon juice and stir till melted.


Don't know about how this is over salmon but it was killer over my homemade canadian bacon eggs benedict! Even my kids inhaled it. NOTE: This doubled well.
