Original recipe yields 12 servings

  1. Put oil in saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, eggs, milk and ricotta cheese in bowl.
  3. Batter will be like a thick sticky pancake batter.
  4. Drop by tablespoon full into hot oil.
  5. Stir and turn until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on papertowel.
  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  8. Store leftover batter in fridge for up to 1 week.
  9. Batter will turn a grayish color in fridge, but this is OK.
