  1. Mix the drained clams, egg, green onions and the cracker crumbs together.
  2. Let set while cooking the potatoes, so that the crumbs will absorb some moisture. Cool the potatoes somewhat, then mix the clam mixture with the potatoes.
  3. Make small patties, and fry them in oil for 5 to 7 minutes per side, till golden brown and cooked through.
