  1. Peel and cube the rutabaga
  2. Place the cubed rutabaga in boiling water and let simmer for 30 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside while preparing sauce.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Add the heavy cream, stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in salt, nutmeg, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir constantly unil the cheese is completely melted.
  6. Mix in the egg yolk.
  7. Simmer over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Mix the cubed rutabaga into the sauce and stir to coat.
  9. Serve.
