Moose Pot Pie

  1. -Combine Montreal Steak, Greek and green onions with Meat and mix.
  2. -Combine 3 tablespoons of the flour, 3/4 teaspoon of the salt and pepper in a large ziploc bag.
  3. -Coat meat mixture with flour mixture by shaking these ingredients until meat appears to be completely coated with flour mix.
  4. -In a large wok or non-stick pan, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil(more if required) and red wine and balsamic vinegar and brown meat mixture over low heat. This should take approximately 15 mins.
  5. -Remove from pot and set aside.
  6. -Add butter and mushrooms, garlic, curry powder, onions and cook until mushrooms have turned brown and have soaked up all the butter and/or the onions have turned soft or slightly brown.
  7. -Return Moose to pot and add potatoes, carrots, beer, beef broth, tomato soup.
  8. -Heat over low heat and simmer for for 50 minutes.
  9. -Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  10. -Combine dash of salt with 1.5 cups flour with shortening, by adding small portions of shortening to flour, until all shortening is used up. Spray or drip water over mixture and gently toss to make a dough.
  11. -Form dough into two balls.
  12. -On a lightly floured surface, flatten remaining dough and roll out to fit inside the baking dish
  13. -roll out remaining portion into in order to cover the top of your 9 inchpie plate or dish
  14. -Spoon meat mixture into crust and top with dough. Seal the Pie by pressing the 2 dough mixtures together.
  15. -Slit several 2" cuts on top of crust and bake in oven until crust is brown(20-30 mins).
