  1. Soak the Dried Peas in a large 5 qt pan overnight.
  2. Rinse and strain the Peas
  3. Fill 5 qt pan with 3 qts of water
  4. Add Bouillon
  5. Heat on stove until water boils
  6. Turn heat down to low
  7. Add Peas to the water
  8. In a seperate frying pan Fry 1 lb of bacon
  9. Remove cooked bacon and place to the side
  10. Add 1 stick of Butter to the bacon Grease on low heat
  11. Add diced Onions to the Bacon Grease and Butter mixture.
  12. Cook Onions until the become brown around edges. Approx. 10 minutes
  13. Place Grease, Butter and Onions mixture within the water and Peas and stir
  14. Add Diced Ham
  15. Add the Cooked Bacon ( Cumbled )
  16. Add salt and Pepper to taste
  17. Cook on low heat for 8 hours stirring every hour.
  18. Enjoy and serve with Cornbread.
