Unbelievable Banana Bread

"This is my families favorite banana bread recipe. I make it everytime we have some over ripe bananas, waiting to get used up. You can't find a better way to use over ripened bananas than this bread. Everyone will rave about this recipe! You'll never need to try another banana bread recipe after this one!"

  1. Crumbs:
  2. In small bowl, mix together flour, sugar and cut in butter until crumbly.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Banana Bread:
  5. Cream together butter and sugar, beat in eggs; Add buttermilk(or sourdough starter)
  6. Add vanilla extract and mix.
  7. Smash bananas with fork; add to mixture.
  8. In seperate bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
  9. Add dry mixture to wet mixture.
  10. Fold in dry ingredients with wet very carefully, you don't want to over mix the batter.
  11. Pour batter into sprayed bread pans.
  12. Crumble the crumbs onto the top of the loaves.
  13. Bake the bread for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  14. Let the bread cool, and then flip it out of the pans.
