"This recipe is very simple but will wow anyone. Oreo recently started selling them, but I still like to make my own. You can substitute the milk chocolate chips for white, dark and even mint during christmastime."
In a double boiler melt the milk chocolate chips and shortening. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Drop one oreo at a time into the chocolate, making sure it is covered completely. Remove the oreos, using a knife, pick them up by the bottom. Lightly shake or tap the knife so that excess chocolate can be removed.
Place covered oreos on parchment paper and let dry.
Melt white chocolate and drizzle over oreos. Let dry completely before storing.
