  1. In a saucepan, brown ground beef and sausage together and break up while cooking. Drain well and put in food processor and grind until fine. Place meat back in pot and add spaghetti and tomato sauce together with sugar. Heat until bubbly then turn down to simmer. Meanwhile, cook noodles until al dente and drain. Mix 2 cups of the mozz.cheese, parm. and ricotta cheese and egg together and set aside. In a 9 x 13 pan, cover the bottom with sauce and layer noodles, then sauce and sprinkle with 1 tsp. italian seasoning, then drop cheese mixture on top of sauce with tblsp. Repeat layers ending with sauce and covering with remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Should have 3 layers of 4 noodles. This will be full. Bake on 350 for 30-45 minutes. Cover pan with foil the first 15 minutes so cheese will not get too brown. Let set approx. 5 to 10 minutes before cutting. You can make this the night before and place in the refrigerator. Bake the next day and Enjoy!
