  1. In 3 quart saucepan,heat 1 inch water to boiling.
  2. Add potatoes and 1/2 tsp. salt.
  3. Heat to boiling.Reduce heat to medium.
  4. Cover and cook for 12 min. or until tender.
  5. Drain and return to saucepan
  6. Meanwhile,in a 2-quart saucepan,heat 1 inch water to boiling.
  7. Add asparagus.Heat to boiling,Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook about 5min. or until crisp and tender,drain and add to potatoes.
  8. While vegetables are cooking, in a skillet, melt butter.Cook onions in butter about 5min.,stirring occasionally,until golden brown.
  9. Stir in vinegar,brown sugar. Pour onion miture over potatoes and asparagus,stir intil coated.
