Kielbasi Soup


"I first had Kielbasi Soup at a restaurant and the idea sounded odd, but it was yummy...I had to go try and duplicate it!! Everyone says this is perfect comfort food and absolutely excellent on a chilly Fall day..but I can eat soups on a 90-degree day, especially this one! :)"

  1. Melt the butter in a large soup kettle.
  2. Add the sliced kielbasi, onion, and celery.
  3. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the oion and celery are tender.
  4. Add 5 cups water and remaining ingredients--except potatoes. Cover and cook for 1 hour.
  5. Add potatoes and cook for another hour (2 hours total).
