Ice Cream Sandwich Delight - Frozen Dessert (can be made sugar free)


"This is an amazingly delicious & easy dessert. It pleases young and old alike and is a birthday favorite for our kids. This recipe can be easily converted to sugar free, as all ingredients can be found sugar free. This is also versatile because the pudding layer flavors can be changed to make different flavor combinations. This recipe is large enough for a party, but leftovers are kept well too. It is great made the day before to free up time the day of a special dinner."

Original recipe yields 18 servings

  1. Crush Sandwich Cookies and set aside about 1/3 of cookies to use for garnish.
  2. Put remaining cookies in bottom of dish to be the crust.
  3. Next layer: Mix White Chocolate Pudding Mixes with 1 3/4 cups of Milk, using mixer. When blended, add 2 cups of whipped topping.
  4. Stir well & spoon over cookie crust.
  5. Next Layer: Drizzle entire jar of Carmel Sauce over pudding layer, along with about 3/4 jar of the hot fudge sauce. Hot Fudge sauce may need warmed slightly to be pourable.
  6. Put back in freezer for a while to set sauce up.
  7. Next Layer: Unwrap ice cream sandwiches and place on top.
  8. Next Layer: Mix Chocolate Pudding mixes with 1/3/4 cups Milk. When blended, add 2 cups of whipped topping and mix well. Spoon over ice cream sandwich layer.
  9. Place back in freezer till pudding layer is somewhat set.
  10. Soften the vanilla ice cream, then spoon and spread over top.
  11. Garnish is the remaining crushed cookies and remaining hot fudge sauce.
  12. Freeze till firm and serve !
