  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Sift flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and mix well. Add vanilla; mix well.
  5. add flour mixture and mix well. Add remaining ingrediets and mix well.
  6. divide dough into 3 portions and roll into logs (1 1/2 inch in diameter) and cover with plastic wrap. Freeze for one hour.
  7. Cut logs into 3/4-inch pieces. Bake on parchment lined baking sheets until golden brown (approximately 8-10 minutes)
