"I don't know where I got this recipe but I sure am glad I did! They are ideal for "on the go" breakfasts- school days, early morning outings, etc! They can be made in advance- they store and reheat well. There is more brown sugar in this recipe than others because the sweetness of the syrup is cooked in! Try them without syrup and see!"

  1. Combine first six ingredients.
  2. Beat egg, buttermilk and oil in another bowl.
  3. Stir into dry ingredients.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Cook over medium heat like regular pancakes.
  6. They may not bubble before flipping so watch until the edges look dry.
