  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in a 15x10 jelly roll pan.
  3. Spread pecans evenly in pan with butter.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes.
  5. Melt candy coating in a heavy saucepan over low heat.
  6. Remove from heat and cool for 2 minutes.
  7. Stir in pecans.
  8. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto wax paper.
  9. Cool.
