  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. From a large piece of fresh salmon, cut 3 long strips (about 12 inches long). The strips must be narrow enough to braid, but not too narrow - maybe about 1.5 inches wide.
  3. Braid the 3 strips of salmon and pin the ends together with 2 tooth picks on each end.
  4. Place salmon in a 9x9 oven-safe dish. Set aside.
  5. In a seperate bowl, add the 1/2 cup of finely chopped green onions.
  6. In same bowl, add the 2 teaspoons of finely chopped ginger (using a garlic press may make this easier).
  7. Also to the same bowl, add the 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and the 2 tea spoons of dark sesame seed oil.
  8. This mixture in the bowl should contain enough to pour over the salmon and to thinly cover the bottom of the dish. If it does not, adjust accordingly.
  9. Before pouring mixture over the salmon, lightly salt the top of the salmon.
  10. Once salmon is salted, pour the mixture over it so that most of the green onions and giner remain on top of the salmon.
  11. Cover the dish with tin foil.
  12. Place salmon in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through.
  13. Serve with "sticky" rice.
