Sieve the Rice flour. If you have frozen coconut thaw it well. Put the flour, grated coconut and salt together in a bowl and mix well. Pour in the warm water as you mix the mixture with your fingers. (You can also use a hand beater for this. But it’s most effective when you use your fingers). The mixture should appear as small crumbs.
If you have the pittu mould, put the mixture to the mould. Steam the pittu. When the steam starts coming from the vents on the top of the pittu mould you can take the pittu off the mould. (Usually the stand in time is around 5-8 minutes)
