Scooby Snacks (best peanut butter - oatmeal cookies)


"A dear friend passed this recipe on to me while my sons were going through a "Scooby-Doo" phase. These are not ordinary cookies, so they could not have an ordinary name."

  1. Cream butter and peanut butter.
  2. Mix in sugars, eggs and vanilla until well blended.
  3. Mix together dry ingredients and add to peanut butter mixture.
  4. Form into 1" round balls, press crossways with fork.
  5. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
  6. Cool for 15 minutes.
  7. After about 5 minutes of cooling, spread a THIN layer of smooth peanut butter over the top of the cookie.
  8. Next, use the chocolate chips, milk and powdered sugar to make a frosting.
  9. Spread the chocolate frosting on top of the peanut butter topped cookies.
  10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  11. Refrigerate for the best taste.
