  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Crush graham crackers in a plastic ziplock bag and place in piepan. add butter and mix. Smooth evenly throughout pan and cook in oven for about 8 minutes.
  3. In a double boiler (a large bowl on top of a pot will work) combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Wisk. Add milk and chocolate chips and cook on stove over meadum heat for about 7 minutes (or ultil thick). DO NOT BOIL! remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. place in piecrust. cool in fridge fo about 30 minutes or until set.
  4. Whip cream with mixer or wisk until peaks form (lift the beaters/wisk from bowl and turn it upside down. if the whippd cream sands up slightly in a "peak" it is done)
  5. top pie with whipped cream and shave chocolate on top. enjoy!
