  1. Sift dry ingredients. Add raisins, then add milk, beaten egg and margarine. Mix until ingredients are incorporated. Do not over beat. Pour ino greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake 350 degrees for one hour. Test with toothpick. Bread should be dry. Cool for 5 minutes before turning onto rack.
