cook pasta as the directions say on the box. Do not drain. In a large skillet, combine olive oil, butter, garlic, onion, & mushrooms. Saute until onions are transparent. Season with salt, pepper and italian seasoning. Cook chicken in a skillet with seasonings and a little water to keep from drying out. Dice into cubes and toss in with the pasta. If the pasta is dry, add a little pasta water. Serve with parmesan cheese and freshly ground pepper.
I change this pasta around a lot. Capers and artichokes are wonderful in the pasta as well.
