  1. Heat vinegar and sugar in a small pot for several minutes (until sugar dissolves).
  2. Add the salt, turn the heat down and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened slightly.
  3. Stir in chili garlic sauce and let cool.
