Superb white/sugar cookie dough


"This is a wonderful butter/sugar cookie dough for any recipe that calls for such a dough. People always adore it. It is a lovely, lightly sweet buttery, tender cookie. It is a great "white" cookie dough. It can be used to make Italian cuccidati (italian fig cookies) kolacky (polish jam/and or nut cookies) cut out sugar cookies and more..... I love them a myriad of ways ..... especially frosted. :)"

  1. First cream together butter and cream cheese (softened) and confectioners sugar. When these are thoroughly combined mix in vanilla and salt then stir in flour. Add enough flour untill dough forms a somewhat stiff but still soft dough (don't overmix or add too much flour). Chill for an hour or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 350. Roll out cookie dough to 1/4 inch and prepare as per desired recipe (cut into shapes etc. add jam etc.). Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or LIGHT greased and bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until set and very light golden brown on bottom. Cool and frost or leave plain. Enjoy. A favorite of all!
