  1. 1.peel and slice potatoes thinly.
  2. 2. Layer potatoes, 1 or 2 slices cheese, a few pats of butter, sprinkle flour, salt and pepper.
  3. 3. continue to layer this way until all potatoes are used.
  4. 4. pour milk over top.
  5. 5. cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes, then uncover and continue to bake until potatoes are tender.
