  1. Boil water and sugar over medium heat for 45 minutes. Add powdered coffee and return to a boil then lower to a simmer for roughly 15 minutes more. Cool completely and add half the vanilla, the vodka then remaining vanilla. Pour into dark colored bottle and re-cap. Keeps for up to a year. At least this is the longest its ever lasted on Granny's shelf.
