Heat oil in stockpot, and add onion and garlic. Saute until fragrant. Add
chicken, tomatoes with liquid, and broth and heat until boiling. Add beans, pesto, and frozen spinach, cover and simmer 5-10 minutes for flavors to blend. Stir in pasta just before serving and top with grated parmesan if you have some.
