  1. 1)Preheat oven to 480 degrees.
  2. 2)Slice the plantains by cuttin each into 4 chunks. Then, slice each chunk along the seam, cutting the peel off. Slice each chunk into 4 thin slices.
  3. 3)Lay the slices on a large cookie sheet that has been sprayed with the Pam, nad spray the slices with more Pam. Sprinkle with the desired amount of salt.
  4. 4)Bake for about 15 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown on each side, turning halfway through the cooking.
  5. Serve alongside a meal or like potato chips, as a snack. Makes about 64 chips.
  6. Note:If a softer texture is desired, cook at a lower temperature.Sprinkle with other seasonings for a more varied flavor.
