  1. 1. Heat 1 tablespoon canola oil in frying pan over medium heat
  2. 2. Scramble eggs in oil and set aside
  3. 3. Heat remaining 3 tablespoons canola oil in frying pan over medium heat
  4. 4. Add garlic and ginger and sauté in oil for 2 minutes. Don’t let the garlic burn.
  5. 5. Add peas and carrots
  6. 6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and continue sautéing until soft (approximately 4 minutes)
  7. 7. Add shrimp, basil, red pepper flakes, Chinese five spice and continue sautéing until shrimp turns white throughout
  8. 8. Add vinegar and continue sautéing until reduced
  9. 9. Add rice and scrambled eggs and continue sautéing until all well blended together
  10. 10. Add soy sauce and sesame oil and continue sautéing an additional 5 minutes
