  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. 2. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in medium-sized bowl; mix well. In larger bowl, beat butter and sugars with electric mixer or by hand until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  3. 3. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips or raisins; mix well.
  4. 4. Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  5. 5. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets, then remove to wire rack to cool completely. (Delicious when warm!)
