Savory Baked Chicken Wings

Valerie Brunmeier

"An easy way to cook chicken wings without frying. The result is tender and the sauce has a great flavor. Omit the tobasco all together or kick it up for those who like it hot."

  1. Mix together all sauce ingredients in a mixing bowl. Lightly grease a large baking pan (can use 2 9"x13" pans if you don't have a larger pan). Place the chicken drummettes in the pan and pour half the sauce over them and mix well. Cover the baking pan with plastic wrap and marinate in refrigerator for 1/2 hour or longer. This can be done earlier in the day if desired.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake chicken uncovered for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, add remaining sauce and stir well. Bake for an additional 25 minutes. At the end of baking time, turn oven to broil and brown the chicken for about 5 minutes stirring once or twice. Serve.
