  1. Cook onions in butter until golden. Add liquid from canned clams, potatoes and a small amount of water for cooking potatoes. When potatoes are nearly tender, add clams. Lay the piece of fish on top of vegetables, cover and simmer until fish flakes. Add shrimp and cook for 5 minutes, add the crabmeat, scallops and lobster. Heat through. Then, add milk and cream (or an equal amount of evaporated milk). Salt and pepper to tasts.
