Pineapple Dressing


"My mother made this every Thanksgiving and Christmas when I was growing up. It's not as sweet as the holiday cakes but sweeter than turkey dressing obviously. Goes well on the plate with the potatoes, meats, veggies...I make it on these occasions for my family. It is more of a fruit-bread-custard thing. Excellent hot or cold the next day."

  1. 1.Tear crusts off of bread.
  2. Tear bread into small pieces and let soak in milk. Set aside.
  3. 2.Cream together sugar and butter
  4. 3. Mix in eggs to sugar/butter mixture 1 by 1.
  5. 4.Add drained pineapple.
  6. 5. Slowly, carefully add bread to mixture. You want the bread to stay in little pieces.
  7. Bake in Greased Pan @ 325 for 35 to 45 minutes. I often bake it 45 or 50 minutes in order to make the top brown and crispy.
