"This delicious, fresh salad has gotten me many compliments and requests for the recipe! The candied pecans and sliced apples add just the right touch of sweetness, while the blue cheese adds an interesting flavor."

  1. First candy the pecans. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir until melted. Toss pecans in sugar and butter until well coated and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring constantly (be careful not to burn them!!). Spread nuts on a plate and let cool. Break apart for salad.
  2. Make homemade dressing. Combine all ingredients together. Dressing can be stored in the fridge for up to one month.
  3. Lightly wash and dry spinach. In a large salad bowl, add spinach, apples, blue cheese, & candied pecans. Toss lightly with homemade dressing right before serving. Enjoy!
