  1. Mix coffee granules with the hot water. Add eggs and beat slightly
  2. Add milk, sugar and vanilla and beat together.
  3. Place 4 custard cups in a shallow baking dish and pour boiling water 1" deep.
  4. Pour mixture evenly into the cups and bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve slightly cooled but still warm, or refrigerate for later.
