  1. 1. Beat butter. Add brown sugar, melted butterscotch pieces, and vanilla. Beat in the flour. Divide dough into 4 portions.
  2. 2. Shape each portion into a 9 inch long roll. Wrap the rolls in waxed paper or plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours.
  3. 3. Cut dough into slices about 1/4 inch thick. Place slices on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 7-10 minutes, or until edges are set.
