Fill a small saucepan 1 inch deep with water, place a small steamer in the pan and fill with carrots. Bring water to just boiling on high heat, turn down heat, cover and let simmer. Steam carrots for about 20 minutes. After steaming, poke carrots with a fork to test for doneness. Once they are tender, remove steamer from pot and drain water. Melt butter in the same pot, stir in dill and add carrots. Stir until well-coated and heated through -- about 5 minutes.
