Real Mexican Cilantro Salsa

Emily Compson Trenbeath

"We have lots of hispanic friends, and they swear this is better than anything they've ever tasted, and they always beg me to bring this. Don't be afraid of how much this makes - it's always all gone by the end of a party. "

  1. Dice tomatoes, put in large bowl. Add salt and fresh lemon juice. Chop white onion, jalapenos, garlic, and cilantro, and add to bowl and mix. Take between 1 and 2 cups of salsa and put in blender. Add to bowl for consistency. Mix well, and put in tupperware container with a top. Leave in fridge overnight. Add more jalapenos if you want it more spicy, OR 1 habenero pepper. When cutting the peppers, please use gloves because it is VERY hot and you can burn your eyes.
