  1. This is so simple you have to not have this printed to mess it up. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut chicken breasts in half widthwise so you now have 8 thin slices of chicken breast. lay 4 slices on a foiled baking sheet<Less to clean up!> place a slice of ham and a slice of swiss on the chicken on the baking sheet. Layer a healty tablespoon of the applesauce on the cheese and top with the other half of the breast. brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle the breadcrumbs on top. sprinkle seasoned pepper<not seasoned salt- the ham has salt>on top .Cover loosely with foil. Place in oven for 30-35 minutes till no longer pink in additional 5 minutes may be added to cooking time with the top foil removed and a touch of butter on top for a crispier/tastier top.
  2. Another alternative as this recipe is very forgiving is to dip the filled chicken in egg and then coat with breadcrumbs prior to placing on baking sheet.
