Fresh Cranberry Orange Relish

"My mother-in-law has made this recipe at Thanksgiving and Christmas every year for the last 18 years. It's wonderfully sweet/tart. We double or triple the recipe every year so we have some left for cottage cheese and fruit salads, or with turkey sandwiches."

  1. Place orange slices in food processor. Process until the orange is ground into small pieces. Add cranberries and sugar, process until cranberries are chopped fine.
  2. Place in storage container and chill several hours or overnight.
  3. Serving suggestions:
  4. Cottage cheese, sliced peaches and a couple tablespoons of this relish make a beautiful salad for lunch.
  5. A turkey sandwich with a tablespoon of this mixed with the mayo spread on both slices of bread is wonderful.
  6. Drain the relish and mix with cream cheese for spreading on bagels.
  7. Mix into cranberry jello for a beautiful and tasty treat.
